What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves on your phone or computer. They help a site remember things, like whether you have already made a choice. Some are needed for the site to work. Others are used to measure how well an advert performed.
Browsers also keep similar data in local storage. We treat it the same way, so it is covered here too. This policy sits alongside our privacy policy and our website terms.
We are a team that runs our own exterior cleaning business as well as marketing for other service businesses. We test our ads on our own business first, so we measure them closely. That is why the Meta Pixel is on this site, and why we ask before it loads.
Cookies we use: the full list
This is everything graftermedia.co.uk stores on your device, in two groups.
Essential: always on
These keep the site working. They do not track you across other sites, so they do not need consent.
| What it does | How long | |
|---|---|---|
| gm-consent | Remembers if you pressed Accept or Reject. Kept in your browser, never sent to us. | Until you clear it |
Advertising: only after you accept
These are set by the Meta Pixel, and only if you press Accept.
| What it does | How long | |
|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Meta Pixel browser ID. Lets Meta count visits that came from our ads. | Up to 90 days |
| _fbc | Stores the click ID when you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram ad. | Up to 90 days |
The booking form does not set a cookie. When you book a call, the details you type are sent to us over a secure connection and used to contact you. See the contact page or the privacy policy for how we handle them.
Meta can also set its own cookies on its own domains. We do not control those. The durations above are Meta's usual figures and can change, so check Meta's own cookie information for the latest.

Meta Pixel and advertising measurement
The Meta Pixel is a small piece of code from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. When it is switched on it tells Meta that a visit to our site happened, and when someone sends an enquiry or books a call.
We use it to see which of our Facebook and Instagram ads bring enquiries, so we can stop wasting spend on the ones that do not. It is the same kind of measurement we set up in tracking and reporting for our clients.
What it can record
- The pages you view on graftermedia.co.uk.
- That an enquiry was sent or a call was booked.
- Technical details such as your browser and device type.
What our server sends
If you accepted cookies, our server also tells Meta when an enquiry is saved, so ad results stay accurate. It sends your mobile number in scrambled (hashed) form, your IP address, your browser type and the two Meta cookies above. It never sends your name, business name or website. If you pressed Reject, our server sends nothing to Meta.
Meta uses this data under its own policies as well as ours.
Managing your choices
On this site
When you first visit, the cookie choice shows at the top of the page with Accept and Reject given equal weight. To change your choice later, press Cookie settings in the footer.
In your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Look for privacy or site data in its settings. Blocking all cookies can stop parts of some sites working, though graftermedia.co.uk works fine without the Meta Pixel.
Meta ad settings
You can also control the ads you see in your Facebook and Instagram account settings. Ad preferences there apply across Meta, not just to this site.
Privacy signals
We do not read Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals. You do not need them here: nothing for advertising loads until you press Accept.
Cookie policy questions
Does Grafter Media set cookies before I choose?
No. Nothing for advertising or measurement loads until you press Accept. Until then the Meta Pixel is not loaded and its cookies are not set.
What happens if I press Reject?
The Meta Pixel stays off and the site works as normal. You can still read every page, use the booking form and message us on WhatsApp.
How do I change my mind later?
Press "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page. The cookie choice appears again and you can pick Accept or Reject.
Do you use Google Analytics?
No. At the moment the only measurement tool we load is the Meta Pixel, and only after you accept. If that changes we will list the new tool in the table on this page first.
Do you sell my data?
No. Read what we collect and why in our privacy policy.
